Power Supply Update
To Our Valued Customers:

The power supply situation in the Mindanao Grid continues to look bad in the next few weeks primarily due to the scheduled maintenance shutdown of the STEAG coal-fired plant in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental from February 19 to March 16, bringing down NPC/PSALM's grid capacity further by nearly 200 megawatts.

With this shortfall, ILPI's allocation from NPC/PSALM is correspondingly reduced further by an average of 25%. Therefore, there is a great possibility that rotational brownouts MAY be implemented from February 19 to March 16, 2015 or until the STEAG plant comes back to the Grid.

Due to this power supply situation, we once again encourage all our customers to aggressively conserve the use of electricity to avoid the long and inconvenient rotational brown-outs that we suffered in the previous years and which are also currently being experienced by other cities in Mindanao.

Should these rotational brownouts take place, be up to date by checking www.IliganLight.com or by following us at www.facebook.com/IliganLight and Twitter (@ILPI_Official). We can also be reached at 221-5708/5709.

We are therefore appealing for your continued understanding and we thank you for bearing with us.
